Through the staging of a puppet play called Super Girls and Super Boys against Climate Change by the company Guardianes Ecológicos, a message about the causes and effects of climate change was shared with the children of the coastal region of Oaxaca.

The goal was to inform younger generations about the subject through an entertaining presentation.

Shows were offered in the municipalities of San Miguel del Puerto and Santa María Tonameca by the troupe, part of the non-profit organization EECO, or Espacio de Encuentro de las Culturas Originarias (Space for the Meeting of Original Cultures).

Concerns about the causes and effects of climate change were shared through the puppet show, which also called for a reflection about what actions can be implemented from the local level and with the participation of children.

One of the presentations that Guardians Ecológiocs carried out during October was in the town of San Francisco Cozoaltepec, Santa María Tonameca, where almost 120 people met in the town square to see the play.

In the coming months, Super Girls and Super Boys against Climate Change will be showing in the municipalities of Candelaria Loxicha, San Pedro el Alto and Santa Catarina Ixtepeji.
