A tourist from the United States died on Monday after falling from the third floor at his Zicatela hotel.
The incident took place around 6 a.m at the Rockaway Hotel on Calle del Morro.
Hotel staff reported the event to emergency services and a team of first responders that included Red Cross paramedics and municipal and state police officers soon showed up at the scene.
They found a man lying on a walkway next to a pool. He was declared dead by paramedics.
Local news outlets reported on Wednesday that the man had been identified as Lesly Jones, originally from the United States and estimated to have been between 70 and 80 years old.
