A job fair on Wednesday offered employment opportunities in Puerto Escondido.
The state employment service, along with local municipal authorities, presented the fair at the Agencia Municipal, where more than 100 vacancies were offered.
Job offers included positions as receptionist, cashier, food and drinks manager, housekeeping supervisor, cashier supervisor, and cook, among others.
Those interested could apply by submitting their resumé, or by filling a job application form and presenting a copy of an official ID.
The ongoing Fiestas de Noviembre have shown, as have the recent Día de Muertos holiday and summer vacation period, Puerto Escondido continues to enjoy the preference of a growing number of local, domestic and international visitors.
State authorities recently reported that the Día de Muertos holiday, between October 28 and November 1, saw hotel occupancy rates at 55%, represented by an influx of 14,571 visitors who generated an estimated 41 million pesos (US $2.1 million) in revenue, exceeding all official expectations.
The service industry sector is experiencing growth as a result. The news website Estado Actual reported that numerous help wanted signs were visible during a stroll through hotel and restaurant areas like Zicatela, Rinconada, the Adoquín and Bacocho.
